Carr To Start At QB For Raiders Vs. Chargers

ALAMEDA (AP) — Rookie Derek Carr will start at quarterback for the Oakland Raiders despite being listed as questionable with an injured left knee and ankle.

Carr left Oakland's most recent game two weeks ago against Miami, but was able to practice this week and got the start on Sunday.

San Diego right tackle D.J. Fluker (ankle), center Rich Ohrnberger (back) and Malcom Floyd (calf) also were active for the game.

Among other inactives for the Raiders are receiver Vincent Brown (hamstring) and right tackle Khalif Barnes (quad). Menelik Watson started in place of Barnes.

The other inactives for the Chargers include running backs Donald Brown (concussion) and Ryan Mathews (knee), linebacker LB Manti Te'o (foot), and cornerback CB Shareece Wright (knee).
