Carport Fire In Pomona Destroys Several Garage Units

POMONA (CBSLA.com)  —  Firefighters in Pomona were called to a blaze burning inside at least three-attached garages, Thursday afternoon.

The fire was reported just before 4:40 p.m. outside an apartment complex in the 1600 block of Kingsley Avenue, authorities said.

Kingsley Avenue was closed between Indian Hill Boulevard and East End Avenue and is expected to remain shut down for several hours.

It is not clear how many cars, if any, were destroyed in the fire.

Authorities said they contained the fire to the structure and that it did not spread to the adjoining apartment.

No injuries were reported.
