Car Careens Into Duplex In South LA, 3 Hurt

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) – Three people suffered minor injuries when the car they were riding in went off the road and slammed into a duplex in South Los Angeles Wednesday night.

The crash occurred at about 10 p.m. in the 8900 block of South Avalon Boulevard.

According to Los Angeles police, three people in the car were transported to the hospital with injuries that were not considered serious.

No one inside the duplex was hurt.

A building inspector was called to the scene, and after examining the structure, determined that it was safe to occupy and the residents would not have to vacate. A financial estimate of the damage was not confirmed.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. No arrests have been made.
