Car Careens Into Covina Home, Sparks Fire

COVINA (CBSLA.com) – A car caught fire after slamming into a home in Covina Monday morning.

According to Los Angeles County Fire Department, at about 3 a.m. a driver lost control of a car and crashed into a home in the 1300 block of East Puente Street. The car caught fire, and flames then spread to the home.

Firefighters responded and extinguished the flames.

The driver was rushed by ambulance to a hospital with unknown injuries. No one inside the home was hurt.

The cause of the crash and the extent of the damage to the home were not confirmed. Covina police are investigating.
