Car Becomes Wedged Under Pepsi Semi On 5 Freeway In Griffith Park

GRIFFITH PARK (CBSLA.com) — A SigAlert was issued for the southbound 5 Freeway at Colorado Boulevard in Griffith Park after a car became trapped under a semi Friday.

The crash was reported at 6:08 a.m. when a black sedan became wedged under a Pepsi truck, according to the California Highway Patrol. The driver was able to get out of the car, but the big rig's driver was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.

The crash, which shut down two right lanes, snarled traffic coming out of Glendale. The SigAlert was canceled at 7:25 a.m., the CHP reported.
