ARCADIA, Calif. (CBSLA.com) - Candy Boy, ridden by Hall-of-Famer Gary Stevens, won the Grade 2 Robert Lewis Stakes at Santa Anita Saturday, earning him 10 points toward the Kentucky Derby standings.

Stevens, 50, tracked down the favorite Midnight Lucky and Chitu, who finished second place and earned 4 points, respectively.

"He's my number one draft choice," Stevens told the Racing Form. "That was a nice performance he put on against a nice group of horses. I expected him to run well, but he surpassed my expectations."

Candy Boy paid $6.60 and finished the 1 1/16-mile race in 1:41.83.
