Police pursuit near Lawndale backs up traffic on 405 Freeway
The California Highway Patrol was in pursuit of a suspect on the 405 Freeway.
Officers started the pursuit after the suspect drove into the center divide, according to CHP.
The suspect continued to drive south on the shoulder of the 405 Freeway until officers blocked the vehicle. Officers had to wrestle the suspect out of the car after pinning the vehicle near Lawndale.
