California Adventure Roller Coaster Gets Stuck With 100 People On Board

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — A roller coaster at Disney California Adventure apparently became stuck with about 100 passengers on board.

The ride apparently experienced a minor mechanical issue with about 100 people on board four trains at about 1:57 p.m. Friday, Disneyland officials said.

Pictures tweeted out by former MLB pitcher Jamie Moyer showed him still strapped into the roller coaster, with the caption, "Stuck on California Screamin' at Disneyland. Not sure what is more difficult, pitching in a Major League game or this".

His tweet wasn't alone. Another user @MaciHensley tweeted out, "CURRENTLY STUCK AT THE TOP OF CALIFORNIA SCREAMIN."

No injuries were reported and the ride is expected to resume operations shortly, officials said.
