Byron Scott Targeting Robert Horry As Lakers Assistant Coach

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) -The Los Angeles Lakers could very soon have "Big-Shot Rob" back on the bench, assisting new head coach Byron Scott, who was formally introduced Tuesday as the new Lakers head coach.

According to the LA Times, Scott is targeting former Laker and seven-time NBA Champion Robert Horry to join Mark Madsen and Larry Lewis to help assist the team.

Horry would be the second analyst, behind Scott, that TWC SportsNet will lose to the Lakers coaching staff.

Horry has never coached at the NBA level, but Scott believes adding Horry will bring a championship mentality to the locker room.
