Burned Van Found In Oxnard; Arson Investigation Underway

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — Arson investigators worked to determine the cause of a vehicle fire in Oxnard on Monday.

Shortly before 2 a.m., officers noticed smoke near the Oxnard Auto Center, according to the Oxnard Police Department.

Upon their arrival, authorities located a vehicle burning behind one of the dealerships parked on Collins Street.

The Oxnard Fire Department was called to assist at the scene.

No structures were damaged as a result of the blaze.

No injuries were reported.

A records check revealed the burned van was reported stolen earlier this week.

The investigation is ongoing.
