Badly Burned Man Discovered Alongside 605 Freeway In City Of Industry

CITY OF INDUSTRY (CBSLA.com) — A burned and bound man was discovered alongside the northbound 605 Freeway Tuesday afternoon in the City of Industry.

Around 2 p.m., the Los Angeles County Fire Department, along with the California Highway Patrol, got a call from a motorist who found the victim naked near the transition road from the northbound 605 to the 60 Freeway.

"The victim appeared to have crawled from a wash beneath the freeway to the freeway roadway, where he was discovered by passing motorists," officials said.

A preliminary investigation determined that the unidentified victim has been assaulted prior to being burned, authorities added.

The victim, who suffered burns to his face and body, was transported to County-USC Medical Center in unknown condition.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Arson Explosive Detail at (323)881-7500
