Police Search For Burglary Suspect Near El Segundo High School

EL SEGUNDO (CBSLA.com) — Police Monday searched for a burglary suspect in South Bay communities.

The search began around 4:30 a.m. after officers detained the suspect in the 700 block of Main Street, according to the El Segundo Police Department.

The suspect managed to flee on foot to the El Segundo High School campus.

Police have contained the area and a K-9 search is underway.

Detectives described the suspect as a Hispanic man who has blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a light blue jacket with El Segundo written across it, shorts and dark socks.

Anyone who encounters the suspect has been urged to call 911.
