Burglary At Studio City Drone Store Caught On Camera

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The owners of a Studio City store that sells unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is asking for the public's help in identifying burglary suspects who allegedly stole $10,000 worth of merchandise.

The Drones Plus store located at 11376 Ventura Boulevard was reportedly broken into around 4:15 a.m. Sunday, according to store manager.

Surveillance video released by the store appeared to show two suspects shatter the front door and proceed to take what Drones Plus manager Justin Henderson says amounts to "thousands of dollars" in GoPro cameras.

The video showed the suspects in the store for only about a minute. Police showed up about 20 minutes later, according to the store.

Owners say the burglary is the first for Drones Plus since it opened in February and comes just days after two drones were stolen from a Van Nuys store.
