Burbank Man Arrested In Connection To String Of Robberies

BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — A Burbank man was arrested at his home Monday in connection to an investigation of six robberies or attempted robberies of local businesses.

Joshua Boston, 24, was taken into custody at 3:20 p.m. with bail set at $1 million.

Burbank police say officers began investigating the robberies on January 5 and say there were no reported injuries related to the incidents, although the suspect was reported in some instances to have brandished or referenced a weapon.

On February 9, an officer contacted a suspect during an attempted robbery at the Chevron gas station at Olive Avenue and Buena Vista Street.

When confronted by the officer, the suspect fled to a running vehicle he had left in the area.

Investigators identified Boston as a suspect in the string of robberies and obtained a warrant for his arrest as well as a search warrant for his residence.

Police monitored the home until Boston returned and was taken into custody.

He remained booked at the Burbank Police Department Jail at press time.
