Burbank Lifeguard Arrested For Allegedly Recording Females In Locker Room, Restroom

BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — A Verdugo Park pool lifeguard was arrested Wednesday after being accused of recording females changing in the employee locker room and a public restroom.

Arturo Montano, 23, was taken into custody around 9:15 a.m. after officers found photos and videos of women and at least one minor on his mobile phone, according to Sgt. Claudio Losacco with the Burbank Police Department.

Police also seized a computer from Montano's Sun Valley home, Losacco said.

The suspect is charged with possessing images of a minor and six counts of concealing a camera to videotape the bodies of others without their knowledge.

Mimi Page can't help but wonder if she was one of the unsuspecting people caught on camera. "How do I know that he didn't tape me," Page said. "That's so terrifying. It makes me not only question this place but now all bathrooms."

Montano's bail was set at $170,000. He is due in court on Friday.
