Buena Park House Fire Sends 3 To Hospital For Inhaling Smoke

BUENA PARK (CBSLA.com) — Three people were hospitalized Monday from smoke inhalation at a house fire in Buena Park.

Firefighters were dispatched at 7:05 a.m. to the home in the 6200 block of San Ricardo Way and had the flames under control by 7:20 a.m., Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Larry Kurtz said.

A 28-year-old man was found suffering from smoke inhalation in the hallway of the residence and firefighters pulled him to safety through a window, he said. That man, along with a 35-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, were taken to an area hospital.

The injuries, which include a firefighter who was treated at the scene for a minor injury, were not life threatening, Kurtz said.

Fire did most of the damage to the home's attached garage, he said.
