Brush Fires Erupt In Chatsworth, Simi Valley

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Crews were on the scene of two brush fires Saturday that have erupted in Simi Valley and Chatsworth.

According to fire officials, the fires broke out shortly after 5:00 p.m. along the 118 Freeway at Rocky Peak Road in Ventura County and Topanga Boulevard in Los Angeles County.

Crews tackled the fires with ground and air response at this time.

It was unclear how many acres have burned so far.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

Officials have not reported any street closures.
