Brush Fire Burns In Pacoima Near Hanson Dam

PACOIMA (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters battled a brush fire in Pacoima Wednesday afternoon.

Flames broke out around 5:30 p.m. in dense vegetation in the Hansen Dam area.

More than 250 firefighters battled the blaze near Osborne Street and Dronfield Avenue from the ground and in the air.

About three hours later, they manged to knock down the flames that had charred at least eight acres.

No one was hurt. No structures were burned.

It's not known yet what sparked the fire.
