British Teen Accused Of Christmas Day PlayStation, Xbox Hack

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)  —   North Korea was blamed but officials say it was really a British teen behind the Christmas day hack of PlayStation and X-Box.

The unidentified suspect is 18.

Authorities said computer equipment linking the teen to the hack attack was removed from the suspect's home Friday.

The teen lives near Liverpool.

British officials credited the FBI with cracking the case.

Originally, speculation centered around North Korea. The country was involved in a fight with Sony Studios and their movie "The Interview." A hacking group called Lizard Squad also went on Twitter and took credit for the outage.
