Authorities said she suffers from schizophrenia and had not been taking her medication.

Culver City School District Superintendent Leslie Lockhart said in a statement, "We are so happy to report that our middle school teacher Ms. Capillo has been found and is safe. Those are the only details that we have and we will respect the family's privacy as they attend to their daughter.

"We are so appreciative of our Culver City school community for the love and support that was collectively given to the Capillo family as they went through this difficult time."

Parents who learned of Capillo's disappearance planned to hold a candlelight prayer for her at 7 p.m. Tuesday in front of Culver City Middle School.
