Boy, 16, Arrested In Koreatown Murders Of 2 Brothers

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A 16-year-old boy was in custody Wednesday in connection with the shooting deaths of two brothers in the Koreatown area.

Eleazar Lico, 20, and Aurelio Lico, 24, were gunned down about 2:30 p.m. Monday in the 3000 block of West Leeward Avenue in what police suspect was a gang-related attack.

The investigation led to the teen's arrest on Tuesday at his home in Hollywood, according to Los Angeles police officials. His name was not released because of his age.

According to the preliminary investigation, a dispute involving two groups of people resulted in a fight that escalated.

"The suspect's group, possible gang members, armed themselves with a tire iron and a handgun," LAPD officials said. "The two victims tried to get away and ran in opposite directions on Leeward Avenue.

Both men were shot as they tried to flee, police said.
