Bones Found In Angeles National Forest Confirmed As Woman Who Went Missing In 2014

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities have confirmed that bones found near a crash site in the mountains near Los Angeles are those of a woman who vanished two years ago.

Coroner's officials confirmed Wednesday that the remains are those of 47-year-old Kimberly Blum. The cause of her death is under investigation.

Blum was last seen leaving a graduation party for her niece in Sunland in 2014.

Her remains were found last week off of a highway in the Angeles National Forest. Caltrans workers spotted a crashed Honda SUV about 500 feet down and embankment.

The vehicle was linked to Blum.
