Bomb Threat Reported At Pomona High School

POMONA (CBSLA.com) — Bomb sniffing dogs were at Pomona High School Friday afternoon after a threat was called into the school's office.

According to the Pomona Police Department, officers were sent around 2:00 p.m. to the 400 block of Bangor Street for reports of a bomb threat.

Authorities explained the school's office received a phoned in bomb threat, and students were taken to the stadium as a precaution.

Pomona Unified School District officials were working to determine today's school attendance.

"Parents will be alerted of the incident once they arrive at the school," said Public Information Officer Fernando Meza. "Later today, they will be alerted by automatic phone notification."

Students were scheduled to be dismissed at 3:00 p.m.
