Boeing To Hire 1K Engineering Positions In Long Beach, Seal Beach

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Boeing Co. announced Friday that it plans to increase its local engineering workforce by 1,000 positions.

The jobs will be concentrated at the company's Long Beach and Seal Beach locations, where employees will work to solve problems for airlines who operate Boeing jets.

The region was left reeling after Boeing announced earlier this month that it will close its C-17 assembly plant in Long Beach in mid-2015.
