Body Of UCSB Student Found On Isla Vista Shoreline

SANTA BARBARA (CBSLA.com) — The body of a student of the University of California Santa Barbara was found early Sunday morning.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office said in a written statement that the woman's body was found by a bicyclist about 7 a.m.

Upon arriving on scene, authorities determined that the woman had died.

She has since been identified as 20-year-old Sierra Markee-Winkler of Eureka, Calif.

The statement said it could several weeks before the exact cause of death is known.
