Body Found In LA River Near Downtown

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters Monday recovered a body from the Los Angeles River near downtown.

The body was found just before 7:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of N. Spring Street, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The coroner and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department were investigating the victim's death.

Their identity  and their cause of death have not been released.
