Human Remains Discovered In Smoldering Temecula Home

TEMECULA (CBSLA.com) — Arson and homicide investigators are on the scene of a Temecula house fire, where a body was found Monday.

The fire was reported at about 5 a.m. at a single-story residence in the 41400 block of Cruz Way, off of Calle Nopal, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Crews put out the fire within an hour. While sifting through the burned-out property, firefighters discovered human remains.

Sheriff's officials described the fire as suspicious, but no other details were disclosed.

The home was reportedly a licensed senior care facility.
