Sidewalk Retired 'Price Is Right' Host Bob Barker Tripped On To Be Repaired

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A construction crew will begin repairing a damaged sidewalk Thursday near the Hollywood Hills home of retired "The Price Is Right" host Bob Barker, who suffered cuts to his head after tripping on the sidewalk in October.

Barker, 92, took a spill on the sidewalk at about 10:30 a.m. Oct. 20. A pair of Los Angeles Police Department officers happened to be in the area to see Barker fall, and they called for an ambulance.

Barker was taken to a hospital suffering from lacerations on his head, but he was not seriously injured.

According to Barker's publicist, the city issued a permit for the sidewalk repair work. Precision Concrete Cutting is doing the work free of charge.
