Bloody, Naked Man, 22, Arrested For Murder Of Woman In Mobile Home Park In Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON (CBSLA.com) —  San Bernardino County Sheriff's Homicide Detectives have identified the suspect arrested on Saturday in connection with the murder of a woman in a Bloomington mobile park as Victor Sanchez, 22.

Police were called to 107000 block of Cedar Avenue Saturday morning around 5:04 a.m. following reports of a naked man running around the neighborhood.

After police arrived, they located the suspect who they said appeared to have blood on his body.

Deputies discovered a nearby residence with an open door and located an unresponsive female inside. Emergency fire personnel responded to the location. The female was pronounced deceased.

Around the same time of the report of the naked man,  Sheriff's dispatch received a report of a traffic collision in the area of Santa Ana Avenue and Laurel Avenue -- approximately 1.3 miles from the mobile home park -- involving a nude Latino pedestrian.

The traffic collision involved a naked pedestrian being struck by a moving vehicle. The driver remained on scene, the pedestrian fled.

The pedestrian was later identified as Victor Sanchez, a resident of the mobile park. Detectives believe Sanchez was allegedly hit by the vehicle and then returned to the scene of the murder.

The suspect was transported to a local area hospital where he is being treated for his injuries. The California Highway Patrol is conducting the investigation of the traffic collision.

Sanchez was interviewed by detectives and subsequently arrested and will be charged with murder. His relationship to the victim and how she was murdered was not revealed. The victim's name was withheld pending notification of her next of kin.
