Blake Griffin Re-Signs With Clippers

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Clippers announced on Wednesday that they have re-signed five time All-Star forward Blake Griffin to a five-year deal worth approximately $175 million.

"I just want to say how excited I am to be back. Obviously, this has been my home since I have been drafted." Griffin said.

"In the end, I realized this was a no-brainer for me. This was the best place for me, and this is the place where I want to start and finish my career."

Last year, Griffin averaged 21.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in 61 games for the Clippers.

The five-time All-Star was drafted by L.A. back in 2010 and has been with them ever since, while also bringing home NBA Rookie of the Year honors, All-NBA awards, and also became the first person in team history to reach 10,000 career points.
