Billionaire Ed Roski, Wife Donate $25M To USC Eye Institute

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Real estate developer and Los Angeles Kings co-owner Ed Roski Jr. and his wife Gayle have donated $25 million to the USC Eye Institute.

University of Southern California officials say the institute at the Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles will be named in the Roskis' honor.

Institute director Rohit Varma says the money will be used to set up a surgical training lab to teach the next generation of eye surgeons.

The couple met when they were both undergraduate students at the university. Gayle Roski's name adorns the school of art and design, and the pair has given money to USC's athletic and business programs.

Roski, president of Majestic Realty Co., is also a minority owner of the Los Angeles Lakers.
