Big-Rig Fire Spreads Into Hillside In Industry

INDUSTRY (CBSLA.com) — A big-rig fire broke out on the shoulder of the 60 Freeway in Industry at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday sending thick black plumbs of smoke into the air as the fire spread into the hillside.

Sky2's Stu Mundel was above as authorities tried to prevent a full-blown brush fire as flames were seen spreading several yards up the hill.

The cause of the fire was not yet known.
