Big Rig Catches Fire On NB 57 Freeway In Diamond Bar

DIAMOND BAR (CBSLA.com) — Traffic has slowed to a crawl Friday morning on the northbound Orange (57) Freeway in Diamond Bar after a big rig caught fire.

The fire was first reported at 4:48 a.m. in the far right lane of the 57 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

By 6:30 a.m., the flames were extinguished, but left the truck and the right side of the freeway a charred mess. Crews are on the scene cleaning up debris.

The traffic backup has been reported as far back as Brea Canyon Road.
