Big-Rig Carrying 80K Pounds Of Beef Overturns On 101 Freeway

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – A semi-truck carrying about 80,000 pounds of raw beef overturned on the 101 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles early Monday morning, backing up traffic for several hours.
The crash occurred on the southbound 101 Freeway near Alameda Street at around 2 a.m.
A Sig Alert was issued and several lanes of the southbound 101 Freeway were shut down.
The driver was not hurt. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
