'Big Brother: Over The Top' Begins Wednesday Evening
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The first-ever online version of the popular reality show "Big Brother" starts Wednesday evening.
The online version is being dubbed "Big Brother: Over The Top."
CBS this week introduced the 12 new houseguests vying for the $250,000 top prize. (That is half what the winner walks way with on the on-air version of the show.)
Live streams were scheduled to being at 7 p.m.
Nine of the 12 named houseguests are in their 20s. The oldest is 41. There's a pair of sisters, a 27-year-old seafood restaurant owner, a preschool teacher, a man who calls himself Cornbread, a debt collector (aren't they always popular?) and a 24-year-old Arizona native and law school graduate who now lives in Simi Valley, among others.
For the first time ever, the all-access version will give fans the chance to watch everything play out live. In addition to the 24/7 live stream and traditional elements of the series -- such as Head of Household (HOH), veto competitions and the live evictions -- this version will have more fan interaction. Fans will even decide the ultimate winner, according to the producers.
