Bicycle Robber Identified, Considered 'Armed And Dangerous'

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities have identified a man wanted for robbing a boy of the bike he had won just five minutes prior at a Halloween event.

Gabriel Estrada, 26, is wanted on a $110,000 felony warrant in connection with the strong-arm robbery that happened at Ted Watkins Park in the Watts area.

The boy had just won the Micargi Tivola beach cruiser bicycle when Estrada allegedly forced the bike from boy's hands, saying he wanted to give his daughter a ride, Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said. Authorities said he then rode away on the bike.

Estrada, who is considered armed and dangerous, is described a Hispanic man with black hair, brown eyes, about 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds. He has multiple tattoos on his neck, chest and arms.

Anyone with information about Estrada or his whereabouts can contact Detective Joseph Cerda at (213) 216-7675.
