There are a number of running races coming up this year, even though we are more than halfway through 2016. They vary in numerous ways, though. Length and location will differ, and their themes can be holiday based or location based. Some races have strict age requirements while others allow for small children or even babies in strollers.

Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend

Date: August 31, 2017 - September 3, 2017

In the end of August, run the Disneyland Half Marathon, which exists at 13.1 miles long. You'll race through the incredible Disney California Adventure Park, Disneyland Park, and also the streets of Anaheim. The race will end where it began: at the Disneyland Hotel. The course will feature Disney characters along the way to cheer you on. The Disneyland 5k theme will be "The Incredibles," while the 10k will feature "Monsters University" and the friends of Toy Story will be on site for the Disneyland Half.

Haunted Hills

Are you ready for a haunted race? This is one of a sequence of three holiday races that are held in different months. The other two are Turkeys on Trails and Elves on Trails. We can all guess what holidays those races are supposed to represent. But for some Halloween fun, run the 12K or 5K Haunted Hills. The race may be rescheduled if weather conditions are unfavorable. There is a registration fee of $45. The 12K begins at 8:00 AM (subject to change), while the 5K begins at 8:30 AM (subject to change).

Head to Huntington Beach for their Summer Breeze 10k, 10 Mile, Half Marathon run! This is a great run that is which is timed. Start time begins at 7 a.m. The half marathon consists of 3 out and back loops of 4.36 miles.
