Beauty Salons, Barber Shops Now Free To Offer Free Alcohol

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Beauty salons and barber shops in California can now offer their clients a free glass of wine or a beer.

While most establishments serving alcoholic beverages are required to be licensed, a new law signed by Gov. Jerry Brown in September allows the serving of beer or wine as part of a beauty salon or barber shop service – for free.

Other services that may serve alcohol for free include limousines and hot air balloon ride services.
