Barricade Suspect Arrested Following Standoff At French Valley Home

FRENCH VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Thursday arrested a man who barricaded himself inside of a home in the French Valley area.

Riverside County sheriff's deputies responded to the residence located in the 35100 block of Nightingale Street around 11 a.m. Wednesday for report of a domestic dispute.

Upon their arrival, authorities located a man barricaded inside of the home.

Residents in the neighborhood were evacuated as a precautionary measure.

The suspect was taken into custody shortly after 7 a.m., deputies said.

His wife was not held hostage during the incident, but she did sustain some form of injury.

The investigation is ongoing.
