Barber Arrested For Allegedly Stabbing Man At Hair Appointment

GARDEN GROVE (CBSLA.com) — A barber accused of stabbing a customer at a hair appointment has been taken into custody.

Adrian Gomez, 23, was arrested around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday on suspicion of attempted murder, Garden Grove police said.

Gomez allegedly stabbed 23-year-old Jeff Valenz in the neck, left elbow and left shoulder when the client visited Gomez Tuesday afternoon at his home in the 10000 block of Imperial Avenue in Garden Grove.

Valenz was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange and was released early Wednesday.

The motive of the incident is unknown.
