Baldwin Park Suspicious Death Investigation Continues

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Detectives are continuing their investigation Sunday into the circumstances surrounding the death of an adult female victim in Baldwin Park.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the 63-year-old woman was found in her bedroom and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified, however, the coroner has placed a hold on releasing it at this time due to a request from sheriff's deputies.

On Saturday, deputies were sent around 1:48 p.m. to the 3700 block of Idaho Avenue after receiving a call from a neighbor who reported a man coming out of the house carrying two bags and some beer.

Neighbors, who were surprised by the incident, said the victim was a woman who worked with children and had lived in her home for more than 30 years.

The cause of the victim's death has not been released.

At this time, deputies have called the death suspicious.
