Bakers, Enthusiasts Mix It Up For 1st-Ever LA Cookie Con

PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — Hailed as the Southland's biggest baking and pastry party, L.A. Cookie Con and Sweets Show is a place for bakers to learn from their peers and share their own sugary delights.

Among the many celebrity bakers attending is Ron Ben-Israel, star of Food Network's "Sweet Genius." The renowned cake decorator and culinary personality will be joined by TLC's "Cake Boss" star Greggy Soriano, as well as stars from: FOX's "Masterchef" and "Masterchef Junior," TLC's "Next Food Network Star," and Food Network's "Cupcake Wars." Joining the mix, will be several of YouTube's most popular baking bloggers.

The event -- LA's first ever -- took place Sunday at the Pasadena Convention Center.
