Bail Set At $3 Million For Hummer Pursuit Suspect From Last Month

BUENA PARK (CBSLA.com) — A man suspected of leading police on a pursuit through Orange County last month has been charged with 17 felony counts.

Bail for Thomas Ueno was set at $3 million after the 35-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charges, which include kidnapping and reckless driving, Wednesday.

Ueno stands accused of leading authorities on a chase with his kids and estranged wife inside a Hummer.

The wild pursuit last month started in Buena Park and ended in Newport Beach.

Following the end of the chase, a tense standoff ensued.

The suspect managed to make a getaway but was captured a day later in Cerritos, police said.
