'Back To The Future' Fans Make Pilgrimage To Puente Hills Mall

CITY OF INDUSTRY (CBSLA.com) — Thirty years ago, "Back To The Future" filmed at Puente Hills Mall.

On Wednesday, fans gathered at the mall, called Twin Pines Mall in the movie, to celebrate Oct. 21, 2015. It's the date that Doc Brown and Marty McFly time-traveled to in their DeLorean.

One fan, Jeff Aller, was at the mall by chance when the movie was filming. He was on hand for the celebration Wednesday.

"When I was there, it was a place to hang out," he said. "I didn't know at the the time it was 'Back To The Future.'"
