Baby Boy Born In LA Among First Of 2016

GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — One of the first babies to be born on New Year's Day here in Southern California was delivered at a hospital in Glendale.

According to hospital officials, baby boy Gael was welcomed at 12:12 a.m. at Dignity Health Glendale Memorial Hospital.

Gael weighs 9 pounds, 2 ounces and measures 20 inches long.

His parents are Vanessa Cruz and Antonio Cervantes.

While Gael gets the title of first baby born in Glendale in 2016, he may very well be the first baby for the entire Los Angeles area.
