Authorities Investigate Possible Attempted Murder In Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are investigating a possible attempted murder after witnesses reported hearing gunfire in Apple Valley.

Deputies responded to the 18300 block of Taloga Rd. at about 12:43 on Monday, after several witnesses reported the nearby gunfire.

Upon arrival, deputies located multiple crime scenes, stretching from an apartment complex on Taloga Rd. to the roadways.

At about the same time, a victim was reported to have been brough into St. Mary's Regional Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the upper body, according to authorities.

With the assistance of the CHP air division helicopter, deputies were able to develop leads as to the identity of the suspect or suspects involved in the shooting.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
