Authorities Arrest Suspected DUI Driver Following Pursuit

WOODLAND HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A suspected DUI driver led authorities on a pursuit early Monday morning along the southbound 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley.

The incident began shortly before 6:45 a.m. in Camarillo when Ventura County Sheriff's deputies attempted to pull over a possible DUI driver, according to Sheriff's officials.

Officers executed a PIT maneuver around 7:20 a.m. near the DeSoto exit off the eastbound side of the 101 Freeway.

Immediately following the maneuver, deputies had their weapons drawn and pointed at the vehicle. Minutes later, the driver surrendered to authorities.

All lanes were closed before Winnetka, but have since reopened. Traffic was expected to resume as normal.
