Authorities Identify 3-Year-Old Girl Who Fell From Hotel Courtyard Walkway In OC

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — Officials Monday released the identity of a 3-year-old girl who died after falling from a fifth story of a courtyard walkway at a hotel in Orange County.

Shortly before 7 p.m. on Sunday, police were sent to a hotel located in the 3100 block of East Frontera Street for report of a child who fell from an upper floor.

Upon their arrival, officers located a child suffering from a severe injury at the Embassy Suites.

Paramedics transported the victim to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange where she later died.

According to the Orange County Coroner's Office, Stephanie Martinez, of Las Vegas, was identified as the victim.

The incident was ruled to be accidental.
