Author Vic Cabrera Shares 'My Cuban Story-Funny Memories From Serious Times'

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Author Vic Cabrera stopped by KCAL9 Saturday to share his book "My Cuban Story-Funny Memories From Serious Times."

For Cabrera, leaving Cuba was traumatic for his family, and settling into New Jersey was challenging and often funny.

He explained the book was first done as a series of readings at El Floridita Restaurant in Hollywood.

One of the stories within the book is a fictionalized version of how Cabrera met his wife, Peg, who works in the graphics department here at CBS2/KCAL9.
