Neighbors Surprised About Living Next To Glendale Kidnapping Suspect

GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — Neighbors of a woman who allegedly attempted to kidnap two children in Glendale said she was quiet and they are surprised she is a suspect in case

Lisa Arnold, 52, of Glendale, was taken into custody around 2:30 a.m., according to the Glendale Police Department.

One neighbor said she was always very nice while another, a mother of two, said that Arnold had lived there a long time and she would never expected her as a suspect.

However, one neighbor said she had been acting a little weird a few weeks ago but after speaking with her, he thought everything was okay.

Arnold is accused of attempting to snatch an infant from its mother around at the intersection of Chevy Chase Drive and Adams Street, and a 2-year-old boy near John Marshall Elementary School.

Both of the mothers were able to fend off Arnold and protect their children.

The incidents took place within 20 minutes of each other.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding either incident has been urged to contact the Glendale Police Department at (818) 548-4911.
